Dive into this essential piece of the traditional Pilates repertoire with a graceful and detailed explanation of each of the "Pilates Five." Each class will feature one of the five components (see below) in a cumulative fashion, so enrollment in the entire series is encouraged, though drop-in attendance is available. The course is beginner friendly, and will offer the experienced practitioner a new depth of understanding.
Classical Pilates training begins with the original five core exercises— including the Hundred, Roll-Up, Single Leg Circles, Rolling Like a Ball, and Single Leg Stretch—designed to awaken the body through controlled, flowing motion. Rooted in the foundational principles of breath, concentration, control, centering, and precision, these exercises build deep core strength, alignment, and mindful body awareness.
